How to report discrimination, harassment or bullying in the Gloucester County Girls League.
Zero Tolerance
The Gloucester County Girls League has a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination. We are committed to ensuring that football is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.
What is Discrimination?
Discrimination includes, but is not limited to:
Racist abuse or comments
Sexist language or behaviour
Homophobic or transphobic comments
Ableist language or mockery
Religious or cultural intolerance
Bullying or targeted harassment
Offensive gestures or symbols
Online abuse via social media
How to Report an Incident
Step 1 — Record the Incident
Note the date, time, location, what happened, who was involved, and any witnesses. Keep a record of any evidence such as messages or screenshots.
Step 2 — Report to Your Club Welfare Officer
Your first point of contact should be your Club Welfare Officer. They are trained to handle such matters sensitively and confidentially.
Step 3 — Report to the League
Contact the League Welfare Officer directly if you feel unable to report through your club, or if the incident involves a club official.
Step 4 — Report to The FA / Kick It Out
For serious incidents, or if you feel the matter has not been handled appropriately, you can report directly to The FA or Kick It Out.
Confidentiality & Support
All reports will be taken seriously and handled with care. Your identity and the details of your report will be kept confidential wherever possible.
No one should face negative consequences for making a genuine report. Retaliation against anyone who reports discrimination is itself a disciplinary offence.
